Colorado Rockies reliever Scott Oberg’s career may be in jeopardy, per 104.3 The Fan Rockies Insider Patrick Saunders, after undergoing surgery Thursday in Scottsdale to remove blood clots in his right elbow.

Per Saunders, the 31-year-old Oberg underwent a procedure in September last year to prevent the return of blood clots in his arm, which has previously sidelined him in his career.

Oberg last pitched for the Rockies in 2019, missing all of 2020 with said blood clots, throwing out of the bullpen in 49 appearances for an 6-1 record and a 2.25 ERA.
