Nuggets nod to past, ‘evolve’ toward future with new logos, uniforms

The Denver Nuggets nodded to both its host city and its own past Wednesday night, along with looking toward the future, unveiling three new uniforms, five new logos, and a new color palette.

Players, coaches, and executives ushered in the “evolved brand identity” at halftime of Game 3 of the NBA Finals during a VIP event downtown, according to a team release.

Josh Kroenke, who was recently promoted from president to Kroenke Sports and Entertainment vice chairman, said in a release that the organization does not shy away from change and continues to look for “ways to innovate.”

“Each era of Nuggets basketball has its own distinct look and feel, and our amazing fans should know that this latest progression aims to celebrate our unique history while turning the page to represent the current and future era of our team,” Kroenke said.

Declan Bolger, KSE senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said in the release that the new brand identity reflects the “dynamic and creative city that we call home” and that the new logos, uniforms, and color scheme “mirrors this exciting era of Nuggets basketball.”

The team will also debut a court redesign next season at Pepsi Center.

Fans can pick up the new apparel at the team store located at the arena (1000 Chopper Circle) starting tomorrow.
