History Colorado, Rockies team up for “Hall of Legends” exhibit

The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square is set to host the rare memorabilia exhibit during MLB All-Star Week from July 10-18

As the stars of today gather at Coors Field for MLB All-Star Week next month, across the street baseball fans can experience memorabilia from the legends of yesteryear.

History Colorado and the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation have teamed up to present the “Hall of Legends” at the Rally Hotel at McGregor Square — across from Coors Field — from July 10-18. (Note: the “Hall of Legends” will be closed on July 13 to accommodate private events.)

The exhibit features a “rare opportunity to experience, through the raw power of authentic memorabilia, the finest moments of America’s pastime and its greatest players of all time.”

Among the pieces available for viewing are items like a Joe DiMaggio jersey worn during his final game during the 1951 World Series; Hank Aaron’s bat and glove; and a game-worn jersey from Larry Walker’s 1998 All-Star Game appearance in Denver.

Until July 12, the exhibit will also feature a PSA gem mint 10 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card, “known as the Holy Grail of baseball cards,” according to a release.

Youth who attend the exhibit will receive free baseball cards at the conclusion, while supplies last.

Advance tickets are available for $10 and will be available online at Rockies.com/HallofLegends and in person at The Rally Store, located at 20th and Wazee.
