As the stalemate between the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers continues, Fox NFL Insider Jay Glazer offered an update on the situation … sort of.

Joining The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, Glazer said that Rodgers’ heels remain dug in regarding his wish to not return to the Packers.

“I know he still wants out. Without a doubt. Absolutely. Still wants out,” Glazer said.

But Glazer offered up a suggestion to teams, and possibly a glimmer of hope for those in Broncos Country who’d like to see Rodgers in orange and blue.

“… What these teams need to do is continue to call and continue to call,” Glazer said. “Whether it’s for (Rodgers), Deshaun Watson, any of these guys, continue to call to show interest.”

Glazer said teams are often cautious about making the first call on a player because they think they’ll lose their “leverage.”

But if a team can catch the front office on the right day, maybe they can pry Rodgers away from Green Bay, Glazer said.

“You sit there and go — and players have been traded this way — you go, ‘You know what? We have another offer here. Let’s just get rid of the headache right now. Let’s just move on,’” Glazer said. “But if no one calls, you don’t really have that option to do it.

“So, there’s always this game of chicken that goes on.”
