Last season, despite finishing as Pro Football Focus’ third-best tackle, Broncos blind-side protector Garett Bolles got snubbed for the Pro Bowl in 2020.

However, this season, one NFL writer believes the Broncos left tackle will have the best shot out of any Denver player of making his first Pro Bowl roster in 2021.

Bolles, who allowed the second-fewest pressures among tackles during his breakout campaign last season, made Around the NFL writer Marc Sessler’s cut of potential first-time AFC Pro Bowlers on Wednesday.

“Denver’s left tackle was a bona fide Pro Bowl snub after finishing as PFF’s third-best tackle. The 2017 first-rounder made the leap in his fourth season as a count-on-me run blocker and protector of the quarterback,” Sessler writes.

The kudos come just a week after Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar listed Bolles among the top-five best tackles in the NFL.

“In 622 pass-blocking reps last season, Bolles gave up no sacks, eight quarterback hits and five quarterback hurries — and that was with a quarterback in Drew Lock whose field awareness often made protecting him tougher than it should have been,” writes Farrar, who put Bolles at No. 4 on his list.

The Broncos were so happy with Bolles’ play last season, after struggles early in his career, that they extended the former first-round draft pick through 2024 in November.

Per Spotrac.com, Bolles inked a $68 million deal that included a $20 million signing bonus and $38 million guaranteed.
