Guest: Nancy Lewis Executive Director Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance was created to help crime victims be a part of the system.  When President Regan did a survey to those who have been a victim of a crime, they said if they had to go back and report the crime, they would not report it.  They felt the way they were treated was worse than the crime.  A victim assistant will vary depending on the crime.  There is no charge to the victim to use a victim assistant.    https://www.coloradocrimevictims.org/
