Warriors Show Their True Grit: Schlereth & Evans

Schlereth & Evans – 5/31/16 – The guys return from the 3-day weekend with a lot to discuss from around the world of sports including the Broncos back at practice starting today as well as the phenomenal series comeback the Golden State Warriors were able to pull off against OKC last night. Broncos Insider Troy Renck and Rockies Insider Patrick Saunders both join the show to discuss their teams of expertise, respectively.

Hour one begins with some immediate reaction about the improbable comeback displayed by the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals over the Thunder of Oklahoma City.

The fellas then move on to The Morning Brew where they talk Broncos OTA’s, Golden State’s clutch win, the Penguins taking game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals and the Rockies falling face first in the dirt this past weekend. 

Mark and Mike close the first hour with some debate as to who should be the starting QB for the Broncos heading into the heart of off-season practice.

Rockies Baseball Insider Patrick Saunders joins the show as he and the guys dive into a variety of Rockies based topics including how this “same old Rockies” story is getting quite old, GM Jeff Bridich’s plan to turn a corner away from the O’Dowd regime and if finishing at .500 should actually be considered a successful season or not. The gents closed hour two with 4 Down Territory where Stink and Evans jumped into more Broncos OTA’s, how close Peyton was to signing with the Titans in 2012, the latest offer made by the Jets to Fitzpatrick and whether or not Kirk Cousins can reach Elite QB status this season.

The third hour begins with Broncos Insider Troy Renck joining the gentlemen to discuss everything surrounding the defending champs and week two of OTA’s including an update on the QB competition, his thoughts on the veterans that could be cut this off-season and in particular punter Britton Colquitt as well as where the front office could move around player money to add another player or two before training camp begins in July.
