CJ continued filling in for Sandy this week sitting alongside Stokley.  The guys talked about the big NBA headlines from last night as it was Kobe Bryant’s last game and the Warriors broke the record achieving 73 wins in a season.  Kobe scored 60 points on 50 shot attempts.

The other big news of the day is that the Rams have traded with the Titans for the number one overall pick in the NFL draft.  Stokley called the trade a “home run” for Tennessee.

The talk on the blockbuster trade continued.  The Rams will presumably be drafting QB Carson Wentz with the newly acquired first round pick.  How could this trade impact the Broncos?

The trade talk continued as it is now reported by Adam Schefter that the Rams are leaning more towards Jared Goff instead of Carson Wentz with the number one overall pick.

Former Bronco Nate Jackson joined CJ and Stokley to close out hour one.  The guys discussed the use of cannabis in the NFL, and Nate said it’s what helped him the most recovering from injuries.  Nate said that the NFL needs to study the players who use cannabis for recovery instead of punishing them.  Nate also talked about the dangers of taking opiates vs use of marijuana.  Listen to Nate’s interview HERE.

Hour two kicked off with CJ breaking down the details of the Rams/Titans trade which dealt the number one pick in the draft to the LA Rams.  Could this trade force San Francisco’s hand in dealing Colin Kaepernick to the Broncos?

Is Tyrod Taylor a viable trade option for the Broncos as he is unhappy with his situation in Buffalo?  The guys took some phone calls to hear what the fans think of the Broncos quarterback needs and thoughts on the big trade with the Titans and Rams.

What are the reasons for Colin Kaepernick’s regression?  CJ said it could be the departure of Harbaugh.  Stokley threw out the point that it could be that defenses figured him out.  If the Broncos can run the ball effectively, any QB the Broncos bring in could be better than advertised.

Hour three began with the guys continuing the conversation on the Rams and Titans trade and how it shakes up the draft.  They also discussed the importance of having a franchise QB.

Matt Moore of CBS Sports joined the program to discuss the NBA as the playoffs are set to begin. Matt said that Kobe’s last game and the Warriors 73 victories were both important, but that Kobe’s 60 point (on 50 shots) game was the bigger event.  Matt cited Portland and LA Clippers as a compelling first round playoff matchup to watch.  Stokley asked Matt about the draft, as the Nuggets have three first round picks.  Matt said that this draft isn’t a very good, or deep one.  Listen to Matt’s interview HERE.

The hour continued with the guys discussing the QB’s that were taking in the first round of the draft over the past several years.

Pedro Gomez of ESPN joined CJ and Stokley to discuss baseball as the MLB season is in full swing.  CJ asked Pedro about Trevor Story as he is continuing to have a great start to his rookie season.  Pedro talked about the Pittsburgh Pirates and how the Rockies may have to model their success.  The Rockies will have to have patience and trust that the plan is going to work.  Listen to Pedro’s interview HERE.

Today’s show wrapped up with the guys talking about the NFL schedule release tonight.  Who could the Broncos play in week one to kick off the NFL season?  Stokley said he wants to see the Texans because of their defense and the story of Brock Osweiler returning to Denver.
