LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!
3PM – Big Al and D-Mac are live from the Blake Street Tavern watching the Rockies opening day. They start the show talking about the Padres record for worst start in MLB history, having not scored a run in 29 straight innings. They react as the Rox score their first two runs of the game. The guys start off the Big Three at 3:30 with D-Mac talking about Jose Reyes’s contract, and what the Rockies can possibly do to move him. Big Al talks about the NCAA has banned satellite camps. They talk about the Broncos possibly targeting Johnny Manzeil, assuming he’s able to get his act together. They react of the Rockies have a horrible 4th inning, giving up 6 runs. They talk about Greg Hardy and Ray Rice, and D-Mac makes his case for why neither one should play in the NFL again.
LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!
4PM – Football at Four is interrupted by Trevor Story hitting his 5th home run of the season, extending his streak to 4 straight games with a homer. They ask if there is anything that compares to how strong of a start the rookie has gotten off to. D-Mac compares it to if Von Miller were to rack up two sacks in four games in a row. They are joined by Ellis Burks and they ask him if he can compare Trevor Story’s debut to anything else. Big Al asks how long it will take for MLB teams to adjust and figure out how to stop Story. They talk about how the Rockies fell to 9-5 against a team that was run-less through 30 innings, and how much concern that should generate. Listen to our conversation HERE! The Guys react as the Padres slug off another homer to take an 11-5 lead. They ask if the outcome of the game really matters when Trevor is the real Story of the season for the Rockies.
LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!
5PM – The guys kick off the final hour of the show talking about how horrible the pitching for the Rox has been against the team with the worst season start in MLB history. They talk about how putting up how the way the home opener for the Rockies is going has them worried that it will be more of the same for the Colorado club this season. Big Al says that he thinks the Rockies can get to 82 wins this season. They talk about how long the game went on, and ask if it’s fun to watch long games. Big Al says he doesn’t mind it, D-Mac says long games are the worst thing for Baseball. Big Al questions how the Rockies’ offensive players must feel about their pitchers. They ask how long it should take for an organization to turn itself around. They talk about the Warriors and Big Al asks if they will find a way to 73 wins. In the final minutes of the show Trevor Story knocks out his 6th homer of the season, sending the show out on the most exciting possible note.
