It’s finally our home opener for the Colorado Rockies, Ryan Edwards joined by Troy Renck fill in for Sandy and Stokley today. The hot topic clearly being the Rockies and what direction their season will go in. They talk about what could really be the Rockies’ kryptonite this season as well as where they may find success. Then the guys hear from Michelle Tuckner who was live from Coors Field. You can listen to that interview here. Following that Ryan and Troy talked with Jake McGee, the Rockies’ closing pitcher. The second hour kicked off with Ryan Edwards and Troy Renck talking with Jason Hirsh who broke down his view of how the Rockies are this season. You can listen to that interview here. Then Ryan and Troy talk about the matchup of the Rockies and Padres and the importance of getting a good start at home. The guys mention that Nolan Arenado is the future of this club. Nolan says that he wants/expects the ball every time as a third baseman, which keeps him on his toes. Ryan and Troy stress that it needs to be the little things that the players have to focus in order to strive for success.

To open up the final hour Ryan Edwards and Troy Renck talk about the implications of Jose Reyes’ suspension. Ryan and Troy go back and forth of what should happen with Jose Reyes, should the Rockies trade him or does he still have value? The guys then give a quick update of the Rockies game that had just started. They talk about the moves made by the Rockies during the off season. Finally they wrap up with more talk about pitching.
