Charles “CJ” Johnson filled in for Sandy today and made his thoughts known on why the Broncos need to acquire Colin Kaepernick. Brandon continues to believe John Elway has other options including his guy, Brian Hoyer. The guys’ main question of the show was who has the leverage right now: the Broncos, the 49ers or Kaepernick? CJ and Stokley continue to go back and forth, not only about Kaepernick, but about Chip Kelly’s impact on him as well. CJ thinks that the deal will get done regardless, thinking that Kaepernick has the most leverage in this situation. The guys quickly jump to some Colorado Rockies news and highlight Trevor Story’s 4 home runs in three games already.
