Mike and CJ start off hour one of Monday’s show discussing the latest updates on the possible trade to acquire Colin Kaepernick from the 49ers and their thoughts on the likelihood of it happening within the next few days.

They then shifted to the Morning Brew where they chatted about Colin Kaepernick’s chances of ending up in a Broncos uniform, the Rockies starting their season in Arizona tonight, the guys’ pick for the championship game this evening and Scottie Pippen’s bold comments about his Bulls vs. this years Warriors.

Mike and CJ closed the first hour analyzing the meeting between Kaepernick and GM John Elway last week and the chances that a deal gets done within the next 24 hours.

Hour two opened with Mike and CJ conversing more about the current QB situation for the Broncos and what the numbers will have to look like to land Kaepernick here in Denver.

4 Down Territory took over the middle part of the second hour where along with the Kaepernick chatter they discussed Johnny Manziel’s inability to stop partying, Brandon Weeden back in Texas as the Texans backup QB, and Cleveland’s decision to get rid of Donte Whitner.

The gentlemen closed hour two with some discussion about Geno Auriemma and his women’s UCONN squad that’s going for a record 4th straight National Championship tomorrow night.

The final hour of Monday’s show started off with 9NEWS Broncos Insider Mike Klis joining the guys to talk about everything pertaining to the teams chances of getting QB Colin Kaepernick from the 49ers. They talked about what needs to happen contractually to get him here as well as what else needs to happen to get Kaepernick to want to come to Denver. They also chatted about salary cap issues as well as other quarterbacks who could still be sleeper signees for the Broncos including Hoyer, MCCown, and Glennon. The bottom half of the third and final hour consisted of the fellas talking about the Broncos salary cap and its importance in relation to getting Kaepernick as well as who currently on the roster will have to be let go or have their contracts restructured in order to land the 49ers QB.
