Schlereth & Evans – 3/31/16 – The guys are in this morning to give thier thoughts on what the Broncos do in the draft next month. We also dive into the Nuggets win last night, and D’Angelo Russell’s big mistake.
The show kicked off today with the guys discussing how the Broncos did in free agency this off season. The guys said winning free agency doesn’t always translate into success out on the field. Mark gave a great story on how he and Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcels became friends when Mark was starting out in T.V.
The Morning Brew covered RG3 getting advice from Mike Shanahan, Big Ben is still in his prime, the Nuggets get a win in Memphis, and Lakers fans are mad at D’Angelo Russell.
Hour 2 gets rolling with Mark’s “clear the air” segment in which he rips fans for overreacting to free agency decisions. Mark said that teams win on the field, not in free agency.
The guys then dove into which quarterback the Broncos could be looking at heading into the draft. Conner Cook has all the check marks according to legendary coach Bill Parcels.
4 Down Territory got going with RG3 getting advice, Big Ben is still in his prime, the Bengals sign Brandon Lafell, and we go over the worst free agent signings.
Hour 3 got going with Rockies GM Jeff Bridich joining the guys. Jeff talked about the depth of the pitching staff. Jeff also touched on how star 3rd baseman Nolan Arenado has become a superstar in the field and with the bat. Listen to Jeff’s interview HERE
