Schlereth & Evans – 3/23/16 – Ryan Edwards fills in for Mike Evans again today as the guys discuss a wide variety of topics including the rule changes approved by the NFL Rules Committee yesterday, the reason Marshawn Lynch does not have any time to officially retire and some off-the-wall food concoctions going to be served at Atlanta Braves games this season.
Hour One of The Fan Morning Show kicked off with Mark and Ryan discussing some of the comments made by both Head Coach Gary Kubiak and General Manager John Elway at the NFL’s Owners Meeting in Florida yesterday.
The inner part of of Hour One consisted of the Morning Brew where the fellas chatted about the latest Broncos news, the rule changes approved by the NFL, Buffalo Bills’ front office request for fans to not get so intoxicated at their games, and the “stunt food” that will be served at Atlanta Braves home games this spring.
The opening hour closed with the guys discussing why free agents, when Denver is an option, would choose any other destination.
As usual, the second hour tipped off with Mark “Clearing The Air.” He gives his thoughts and opinions on the recent NFL rule changes and whether he thinks they will have a warm reception among players and coaches.
4 Down Territory took over the middle of Hour Two where the gentlemen dove into more Bronco chit-chat, a deeper look at all of the NFL rule changes, Jerry Jones’ thoughts on CTE and it’s connection to football, and the absurd reason as to why Marshawn Lynch does not have time to officially retire from the NFL.
The second hour closed with Mark and Ryan analyzing Jerry Jones’ comment on CTE and whether or not they think he actually believes his own words.
Hour Three popped off with the Morning Show’s weekly “Behind the Bench” segment with Avalanche Head Coach Patrick Roy. Coach Roy talked to the guys about the strength of the team without McKinnon and Duchene, the importance of the recent free agents and draft picks signed, the current goalie situation, and what needs to happen over the next 9 games in order for the team to lock up a playoff spot in the Western Conference. In the middle of the final hour, the guys were joined by Colorado Rockies play-by-play analyst Drew Goodman to talk current Spring Training updates, Nolan Arenado’s transition to the leader of the club, and his thoughts on the job Walt Weiss is doing in Colorado. The guys closed out Hour Three with their final thoughts on the Denver Broncos and the possible free agency moves that could be going down for the team.
