Schlereth & Evans – 3/22/16 – Ryan Edwards filled in for Mike Evans this morning as the guys delved into a variety of different NFL topics including Peyton retiring as a Bronco as well as the latest from the NFL Owner’s meetings in Florida. The guys also discussed and examined Von Miller’s performance on Dancing With The Stars.
Hour One of Tuesday’s show kicked off with Schlereth and Edwards chatting about Broncos GM John Elway and Texans GM Rick Smith and their opinion on which guy read the NFL Free Agency market better.
The Morning Brew covered a variety of different NFL topics including Peyton Manning retiring as a Bronco, Von Miller’s performance on Dancing With The Stars, possible NFL games being played in Germany and China, and the NFL’s announcement of a new “Hard Knocks” style television show that covers the Arizona Cardinals.
The guys closed the first hour with a closer examination of Von Miller’s Fox Trot as well as Schlereth’s biggest DWTS snubs of all time.
Hour two tipped off with Mark “Clearing The Air” about his feelings towards Peyton Manning’s decision to retire as a Bronco and why he believes that was the right choice for him.
The midway point of Hour Two featured 4 Down Territory when where the fellas continued their discussion on Peyton, the idea that Brock left for Houston because the Denver QB shoes were too big for him to fill, more chatter on Von Miller’s fancy Fox Trot, and the latest news out of Florida where the NFL Owner’s Meetings are being held.
The second hour wrapped with Mark explaining why Peyton chose to retire a Bronco and why he decided to not sign a 1-day contract to retire as an Indianapolis Colt.
Hour Three began with Mark and Ryan analyzing some of who they consider “quality quarterbacks” currently in the NFL as well as whether or not Aaron Rodgers’ backup to starter scenario was a major factor in what the Houston Texans ended up paying Brock Osweiler.
The middle portion of Hour Three consisted of Mark and Ryan contemplating both the moves made and not made by GM John Elway this off-season as well their thoughts on if Elway’s master plan will bring a second championship to the city of Denver.
The final hour of The Fan Morning show wound down with the guys talking about some of the backup-level quarterbacks that the Broncos could sign to possibly compete for the 2016 starting job.
