Fan Late Night began with Fan Late Night Frontpage. The big news of the day was that Broncos QB Peyton Manning announced his retirement. The guys talked about how the organization handle his retirement. Also Broncos RB CJ Anderson received a low round tender from the Broncos. Do the guys think he will stay here in Denver or move onto another team? Also the Broncos are attempting to sign QB Brock Osweiler a three year contract worth $13 Million a year. Is that too much for a guy like Osweiler? The conversation then moved on to more about Peyton Manning and his legacy and how he changed the game. This is something that doesn’t happen very often in sports or otherwise. James commented that Manning “changed the way the quarterback position is played at the line of scrimmage’. James also said that the way Manning changed the game was “unique”. Arnie Stapleton from the Associated Press joined Fan Late Night to talk about the Broncos and Peyton Manning’s retirement. The second hour of Fan Late Night started off with the replay of Peyton Manning’s retirement speech. The guys also discussed what their favorite Peyton Manning moment is. The final hour kicked off with the guys discussing QB Brock Osweiler and his free agency situation. Does Osweiler need to test the market to find out exactly what his worth is? What is out there for Osweiler in the current free agency market? The guys also talked about talked about the question that Lindsay Jones of the USA Today asked Manning during his retirement press conference regarding the controversy at the University of Tennessee. Was this an appropriate question to ask considering the occasion? James mentioned that Lindsay Jones was a pro because someone had to ask that question, and Manning was a pro in the way that he answered it. The interview with Arnie Stapleton was replayed.
