Fan Late Night began with Fan Late Night Frontpage. Von Miller received the franchise tag from the Denver Broncos. James and Josh shared their thoughts on that move and what it means for the rest of the team going forward. Also today the Colorado Rockies announced that they will raise the height of the outfield wall in several places by 8 feet at Coors Field. Will this make a difference for the Rockies? Additionally today the Philadelphia Eagles re-signed QB Sam Bradford to a 2 year $35 million contract. Is Sam Bradford worth anywhere close to that much money? The guys discussed what difference Bradford’s deal will make in Brock Osweiler’s contract negotiations. Cameron Wolfe from the Denver Post joined the show to offer his opinion on the Broncos and the quarterback and free agency situation. The guys then discussed Von Miller who received the franchise designation from the Broncos. What does Miller’s deal mean for the rest of the Broncos roster? The second hour kicked off Fan Late Night kicked off with Todd Romero joining the program to talk about the Colorado Avalanche and their 6-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild Tuesday Night. James and Josh then broke down the Sam Bradford deal a bit more and whether he is worth the amount he is going to get paid, especially considering how often Bradford is injured. Fan Late Night’s final hour started with James and Josh continuing the discussion about Von Miller being franchise tagged by the Broncos. Miller said that he wants to be a Bronco for life even though they weren’t able to agree on a deal before the franchise tag deadline. James and Josh also continued to talk about Peyton Manning. Adam Schefter from ESPN said today that Manning would like to keep playing disputing earlier reports by Woody Paige from the Denver post that said Manning would retire by the end of the week. What is the market for Manning if he chooses to keep playing? Josh mentioned that Manning could be a ‘plan B’ for the Broncos if they lose Osweiler.
