Elliss was injured late in the Broncos' overtime win over Seattle last Thursday.

Given his deep familial connections to the Utah program, it was no surprise that Broncos edge rusher Jonah Elliss was on hand at Folsom Field on Saturday night when his alma mater held off CU for a 27-24 win. His younger bother Elijah is on the roster, and his father — former Broncos defensive lineman Luther Elliss — coaches the Utes defensive tackles.
But Jonah Elliss was there with a boot on his lower right leg and crutches, two nights after after hobbling off Empower Field at Mile High in the final minute of regulation.
KCNC-Ch. 4’s Romi Been posted a picture of Elliss with the boot and crutches at midday Sunday.

Elliss suffered the injury as the Seattle Seahawks drove to a game-tying field goal in the final seconds. With the clock ticking, Elliss gamely hopped toward the Denver sideline, as the clock would have stopped if he had succumbed in the field of play and required on-field medical treatment.
But Elliss was soon seen leaving the field on a cart.
With crutches and the boot, it seems likely that Elliss will miss a sizable chunk of time following the injury.
BRONCOS GET COOPER BACK AS ELLISS DEALS WITH INJURY
In that regard, the return of Jonathon Cooper to the 53-player roster comes just in the nick of time for the Broncos.
Cooper spent the first six weeks of the regular season on the Commissioner’s Exempt List following his arrests on domestic-violence charges in June. He had originally been scheduled to go on trial in mid-November, but that was recentlymoved to March 2-4, with the court permitting him to travel in the meantime, allowing him to take part in road games when he was activated.
Elliss has been starting in place of Cooper, notching two quarterback hits, a sack and a tackle for loss over the first six weeks of the regular season.
