The Denver Broncos are signing veteran safety Taylor Rapp to provide additional depth at the position.

Taylor Rapp is only 28-years-old and has played seven NFL seasons. He was a former second-round pick of the Rams in 2019 and spent four years in Los Angeles before playing each of the last three seasons with Buffalo. He started and won Super Bowl LVI with the Rams.
Rapp has 488 career tackles, 31 passes defended, 12 interceptions and four fumble recoveries. He only played in six games with the Bills in 2025 before a knee injury cut his season short and he was eventually released.
The former University of Washington star provides the Broncos with additional safety options after Denver lost P.J. Locke to the Cowboys this offseason.
Talanoa Hufanga and Brandon Jones are the clear starters at the position, but after that the Broncos depth chart is a little murky. Rapp joins a group that includes JL Skinner, Devon Key, Tycen Anderson and others behind Hufanga and Jones.
We’ll see if he’s healthy and ultimately makes the 53-man roster, but Taylor Rapp is certainly an intriguing addition.
There’s virtually zero chance he plays against the Packers in preseason game No. 2 on Friday night, but perhaps Rapp finds the field in the preseason finale versus the Vikings on Aug. 28.
