Avalanche schedule for Western Conference Final revealed by NHL

The Colorado Avalanche will play in the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2022.

And the NHL released the schedule on Thursday night before the opponent was known.

But the Avs will take on the Golden Knights for a trip to the Stanley Cup Final. Vegas closed out the Anaheim Ducks in six games to end their Round 2 showdown. Games 1 and 2 will be in Denver with Games 3 and 4 on the road.

If Games 5-7 are necessary then two will be at Ball Arena while Game 6 will be in the desert.

And the best news is the Avalanche will get a full week off in between series. They topped the Minnesota Wild in Round 2 in dramatic fashion, earning a nice break.

The Avalanche were 2-0-1 against Vegas this year, winning 4-2 and 6-5 in a shootout. They lost a 3-2 OT game in late April after the Presidents’ Trophy was already wrapped up.

After a hard fought five games with the Wild, the Avalanche will take the rest. It worked between the first-round and second-round after sweeping the Kings; there’s no reason to think it won’t again.

Buckle up, Colorado is only four wins away from going back to the Stanley Cup Final for the fourth time in franchise history. The Avalanche are 3-0 winning it all when that happens.
