Five Senior Bowl defensive players who could help the Broncos

MOBILE, Ala. — The Denver Broncos had the No. 2 defense in the NFL during their 14-3 season of 2025. But with John Franklin-Myers, Justin Strnad and Alex Singleton all set to become unrestricted free agents, some changes could be coming.

And beyond inside linebacker and interior defensive line, Broncos general manager George Paton never stops looking at edge rusher, believing that a team can never have too many young, viable prospects there in camp. He’s drafted at least one in four of his five drafts — including last year.

Defense has stolen the show in Senior Bowl practices, and here are five players worth spotlighting: Florida’s Caleb Banks, Utah’s Logan Fano, Texas Tech’s Lee Hunter, Iowa’s Max Llewellyn and Texas Tech’s Butkus, Bednarik and Nagurski Award winner, Jacob Rodriguez.
