Shedeur Sanders’ residence robbed during his first NFL start

While the Denver Broncos were pulling off the biggest win at Empower Field at Mile High since the 2016 AFC Championship game on Sunday, former Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback Shedeur Sanders got the NFL world talking amidst his regular season debut. While all eyes were either on him or the Broncos, there were three people who used that time to rob Sanders’ Cleveland residence.

According to a police report from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, three individuals stole around $200,000 worth of property from the home. They entered the building at 6:46 p.m., just minutes after the fourth quarter started in Cleveland’s loss to Baltimore, and exited just 12 minutes later with all the property they had stolen.

Approximately $200,000 in property was stolen from Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders’ home during a break-in on Sunday during Cleveland’s game against the Ravens, according to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.

For reference, Sanders’ rookie contract he signed with the Browns in the offseason has $447,380 guaranteed, so the value of these goods is nearly half of that. Obviously, he has a lot more cash in his pockets from all his endorsements and other endeavors, but this is still no small sum of goods.

Surveillance footage shows the three suspects inside of the home holding bags and peering around a corner.

Sanders wasn’t able to get the victory in his NFL debut and completed just four of his 16 pass attempts for 47 yards and an interception. Early reports are that he’s going to get the start against the Las Vegas Raiders this week, what would be the first of his career, as Dillion Gabriel is still in the concussion protocol.
