Broncos fans love Nik Bonitto. The 25-year-old edge rusher has established himself as one of the best young talents in the game, and through three games of the 2025 season, has shown that his new contract extension is worth every penny. His speed and quickness off the edge has been a nightmare for even the best of opposing offensive linemen and has helped Denver have one of the best pass rushes in the league.
Off the field, Bonitto makes sure to give the fans some love however he can. Broncos Country is always supporting him, and he’s always supporting Broncos Country.
This week, he took his support for Broncos Country to the next level by officially launching the Bonitto Family Foundation on Tuesday at Trevista at Horace Mann, an elementary school located just southwest of I-25 and I-70. He provided food to families with children in Denver Public Schools.
This was deemed as the official launch even though Bonitto has put on various events in the past, such as a youth football camp in July, a Thanksgiving giveaway event last year, and a Christmas event in which “Saint Nik” provided 50 children with holiday shopping sprees.
The foundation’s mission statement reads as follows: “The Bonitto Family Foundation provides children and families enduring physical, financial and emotional hardships with the support they need to improve their lives and achieve future success. The foundation works with local schools and organizations to provide kids and families in need with food support and access to opportunities and items that make their lives better.”
At Tuesday’s event, Bonitto said that he was inspired by other Broncos defensive players to start his own foundation.
“It’s kind of crazy cause, just me coming in as a rookie and seeing all these guys like [Justin Simmons] and Bradley Chubb having their own foundations, and obviously Pat [Surtain II]’s doing a great job. Being able to start one of my own and being that big brother to the community that I’ve seen that all the other guys have been, it’s been pretty cool to see so far” Bonitto said.
