The semester at the University of Colorado-Boulder began on Tuesday, and it’s starting with a bang for the Buffaloes.

Deion Sanders added three transfers from Power Five schools, CU announced. Michigan’s Taylor Upshaw, Ole Miss’ Kyndrich Breedlove and Arkansas’ Jordan Domineck are now all Buffs.

Upshaw is a former three-star recruit linebacker for the Wolverines. He had 36 tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss, five sacks and one interception over 37 career games for the Big Ten school. A Florida native, he was actually going to be counted on to play a bigger role had he stayed. Upshaw at 6-foot-4 and 255-pounds was a top-100 prospect in the class of 2018. Upshaw was committed to the Gators before going to Michigan. His father, Regan Upshaw Sr., a Cal graduate, had 34.5 sacks in the NFL.

Breedlove is another former three-star recruit who has only played 10 games in college. He missed all but one game in 2022 but transfers to CU with three years of eligibility left. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back was a two-way star in high school, amassing 2,500 total yards at Nashville’s Pearl-Cohn. The speedy Breedlove also ran track and can go 4.36 in the forty, making his decision all the more sweeter since it was over a bunch of other Power 5s.

Domineck is also a former three-star recruit. The edge rusher had 7.5 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss over 13 games for the Razorbacks this past season. The 6-foot-3, 251-pound Florida native has one year of eligibility left after transferring from Georgia Tech.

The Buffs have now gotten 23 scholarship transfer commitments for this season, in addition to their new class of recruits. That list is headlined by former Arkansas safety Myles Slusher and former Jackson State players Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders.
