Watch: Brandon McManus misses long field goal at the buzzer, Broncos lose

McManus had the aim on the 63-yard field goal attempt, but the kick landed short, after Russell Wilson got the offense enough down the field

Add this one to the list of heartbreaking losses for the Broncos this year.

Denver fell to Baltimore 10-9 on Sunday afternoon, after the Ravens scored a touchdown in the final minute. Backup QB Tyler Huntley plunged into the end zone with 28 second left, for Baltimore’s first TD of the day. The Broncos got the ball back in desperation mode, and Russell Wilson put together a nice drive.

He hit Jerry Jeudy for a 16-yard gain before using his legs on a couple plays to set up kicker Brandon McManus with a chance to win the game. McManus had the aim on the 63-yard field goal attempt, but the kick landed short.

It’s hard to blame McManus for that one. 63 yards is an extremely long kick, and he had already made three field goals on the day. Nine points is far too little from the offense, in a game the defense played great outside of the last drive.

The Broncos are now 3-9, and so it goes as this miserable season nears an end.
