Oddsmakers conflicted on score but agree Broncos will drop in Tennessee

Nov 7, 2022, 12:13 PM

The Denver Broncos have lost four of their last five games and are back on the road again, traveling to Nashville.

The Broncos will no doubt be better rested coming off a bye, while the host Tennessee Titans played a grueling overtime game in Kansas City on Sunday night. And maybe this is a trap game for the AFC South team, who heads to Green Bay on Thursday night next week.

The Titans at 5-3 and suffered through rookie quarterback Malik Willis’ rough game in KC. They should get starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill back after two weeks out due to injury. And star running back Derrick Henry just hit his stride, rushing for over 100 yards in each of the last five weeks.

Oddsmakers currently predict that the Titans will win the showdown but are mixed on by how many. Some experts say it’ll be a one-point affair, while others think it’ll be at least a field goal. All agree the game should come in around 40 points.

The Broncos have yet to win a true road this season and are now 3-5 on the year. They’re rested after their bye and trip to London, where they beat the Jags 21-17. Denver has only won via a fourth-quarter comeback, and seven of their eight games have come down to one score.

This will be the 44th matchup between the franchises and the 41st in the regular season. The Titans/Oilers are 24-18-1 all-time against the Broncos, last playing against each other in September of 2020 in Colorado when the Titans won 16-14. The teams have split their last six matchups, dating to 2010.

The Broncos return home to host Las Vegas after their trip to Tennessee.
