Report: Ticket prices for Broncos debut in Seattle are through the roof

Sep 7, 2022, 12:01 PM | Updated: 12:15 pm

The Denver Broncos season-opener is almost here, and it’s one of the most hyped games of the 2022 NFL season.

New quarterback Russell Wilson will lead the Broncos as he debuts for Denver in his old home stadium against his former team, the Seattle Seahawks. Will Wilson get booed for basically requesting a trade, or will he be cheered as one of the greatest Seahawks ever, leading them to a Super Bowl win? These are the questions many are asking as each side seeks a bit of revenge.

While the Broncos prep this week for the game on Monday Night fans better hope they’ve been saving for months. According to Logitix, tickets for the matchup are the most expensive out of any game on the Week 1 slate.

Stubhub says nosebleed ticket will run you about $170 a pop.

The other two games topping the list are all between marquee teams with Super Bowl hopes. But even Kansas City at Arizona, a matchup that should have more impact on the season than Seattle hosting Denver, is almost half the price.

Of course many are amped to the see the Broncos play as one of the biggest NFL teams is expected to rejoin the national conversation. Fans are traveling to a good spot in Seattle to take in the very loud Lumen Field.

With the way the NFL schedule works, fans  in the Evergreen State are no doubt excited to see Wilson for possibly the last time ever. Will they honor him or jeer him? That’s the big question heading into Monday.
