Big-name free agent wide receivers that the Broncos could sign
Who could replace Tim Patrick? Emmanuel Sanders, Odell Beckham Jr., Cole Beasley and more are still left on the market

The Denver Broncos will be without Tim Patrick for the season, as the consistent wide receiver went down with a leg injury during Tuesday’s training camp practice.
Patrick has led the Broncos in touchdown catches over the last two seasons and in 2021, caught 53 passes for 734 yards. Replacing his production will not be easy. Even with the Broncos depth of talent at the position, there are big question marks after Courtland Sutton. Former first-round pick Jerry Jeudy has yet to prove his worth at the NFL level, while K.J. Hamler was just activated from the PuP list on Monday. Rounding out the bunch is Kendall Hinton, a solid gadget player, second-year player Seth Williams, and rookie Montrell Washington.
With nearly $12 million in cap space, it would make sense if the Broncos went after a free agent to pair with Russell Wilson. And some big-name players still haven’t signed.
Here are 10 names on the market still:
- Emmanuel Sanders
- Odell Beckham Jr.
- Cole Beasley
- Will Fuller
- John Ross
- Adam Humphries
- T.Y. Hilton
- Allen Hurns
- DeSean Jackson
- Danny Amendola
Emmanuel Sanders, 35
Sanders is the most familiar name in Denver, spending six seasons in the orange and blue. The Super Bowl 50 winner last played with the Bills. In Buffalo last season, he caught 42 passes for 626 yards and four touchdowns.
Sanders has 51 career touchdown catches over his 12 seasons, where he’s made 704 catches for 9,245 yards.
Another former Bronco to watch is Diontae Spencer, who was with the team last year.
Odell Beckham Jr., 29
The three-time Pro Bowler is coming off a Super Bowl win with L.A. Rams, where he stepped up to catch a key touchdown. His last season was spent split between the Rams and Browns. He’s had five 1,000-yard seasons, most recently in 2019, and is one of the biggest celebrities in football.
The Rams have said they want him back, and the Cowboys are linked to the wideout. Could the Broncos make a huge splash and go after a possible No. 1 guy?
Cole Beasley, 33
The former Bill and Cowboy has been targeted over 100 times each of the last three seasons by Josh Allen. The reliable receiver has gone for 5,709 yards and 34 touchdowns in his career. More of a possession guy, Beasley has had over 50 catches in seven of the last eight seasons.
Will Fuller, 28
Fuller jumped from the Texans to the Dolphins last year after five years in Houston. The former first-round pick from Notre Dame caught 53 passes for 879 yards and eight touchdowns in 2022. But his career year was followed up by a broken thumb suffered in week four in 2021, which ended his season early.
He’s still a free agent and could be worth a shot.
T.Y. Hilton, 32
A four-time Pro Bowler and career Colt, after 10 seasons in Indy, could he sign with the Broncos? He was one of the more productive receivers of the last decade; his five 1,000-yard-plus seasons stopped soon after Andrew Luck retired.
DeSean Jackson, 35
A three-time Pro Bowler is also coming off of a Super Bowl win. Could the once star wideout have a bit more juice left? Even the last few years bouncing around, he’s shown he can break the game open by going over the top.
