Big free agent signing Billy Turner might be more hurt than we thought

Cam Fleming is back with the Denver Broncos; the club announced on Wednesday just before training camp began.

To sign Fleming, the Broncos waived Buffalo grad linebacker, Kadofi Wright.

Fleming, soon-to-be 30 years old, is a ninth-year player from Stanford University who has appeared in 96 career regular-season games (46 starts) and 11 postseason contests (two starts) with New England (2014-17), Dallas (2018-19), N.Y. Giants (2020) and Denver (2021).

Last season with the Broncos, the 6-foot-6, 325-pounder started four-of-five games played, logging 285 snaps on offense.

Fleming will undoubtedly see some good opportunities early with Billy Turner on the PUP list. Fleming will compete with Turner, Calvin Anderson and a few others for the starting role at right tackle.

Turner signed a one-year $2.5 million deal this offseason to rejoin the Broncos for a second stint after spending three seasons in Green Bay, where now Denver head coach Nathaniel Hackett was working.
