Avalanche without Andrew Cogliano for game 2 against Nashville

The Colorado Avalanche finally got completely healthy, and just in time too. They easily took game one of the postseason against the Nashville Predators, behind a wild first period where the team netted five goals.

One of those goals was scored by Andrew Cogliano on the penalty kill.

Later in the game, Cogliano left the bench for a while, returned, and then left the game for good.

He’s officially day-to-day with an upper-body injury, but head coach Jared Bednar said he will not play in game 2. But he did skate with the team Thursday morning.

Logan O’Connor, who led the team with 81 games played this season, was healthy scratched for game one because of the roster squeeze that comes with players getting healthy. O’Connor will almost definitely get back into the lineup but Alex Newhook and Kurtis MacDermid are options as well.
