Denver Broncos re-sign Eric Saubert to a one-year deal

The Denver Broncos are beefing up their tight end room for the second time in a few days, bringing back Eric Saubert, the team announced on Wednesday.

The six-year pro signed a one-year deal to rejoin the club after spending the 2021 season in Denver. As a Bronco, Saubert caught eight passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Saubert also served on special teams and was utilized as a run blocker.

The touchdown in week 12 was the lone score of Saubert’s career. He’s also spent time with the Falcons, Bears and Jaguars.

Saubert joins Albert Okwuegbunam, Eric Tomlinson, Greg Dulcich and Shaun Beyer among Nathaniel Hackett’s options at tight end. Dulcich was drafted last week with a seemingly host of new special teams players as the Broncos try to solve two issues with one signing.
