Rams release NFL Draft teaser with Dennis Quaid playing Stan Kroenke

Who would play you in a movie? It’s a simple question many of us ask our friends and dream about at a party that will never come to fruition.

But Stan Kroenke has the money to make a movie about himself staring whomever he wants. On Tuesday, his football team, the Los Angeles Rams, dropped an NFL Draft trailer that starred several A-listers. Josh Holloway played General Manager Les Snead, Tyrese Gibson went as Defensive Coordinator Raheem Morris, Scott Eastwood doing his best Head Coach Sean McVay and Dennis Quaid played Kroenke.

The owner of the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets says things like, “there’s no room for error,” and “tell me we are good,” in the video. The fake movie trailer appears to be for a dramatic heist involving the Super Bowl winners, including their players Kendall Blanton, Terrell Burgess, Aaron Donald, Tyler Higbee, Jordan Fuller, Van Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, David Long Jr., Jalen Ramsey, Nick Scott, Ben Skowronek and Matthew Stafford, who play themselves.

It’s Quaid’s second acting role involving the Rams, recently playing Dick Vermeil in Kurt Warner’s American Underdog.

The big named actor was part of the multi-day film shoot which admittedly looks like a million bucks. That figure would be more than any single Colorado Rapids player makes, the soccer team that Kroenke also owns.

The Rams describe the trailer as follows, “hot on the heels of their thrilling Super Bowl LVI victory; the Los Angeles Rams are determined to do the near-impossible: make lightning strike twice. But having brazenly gone all in last year by trading away their top draft picks, the challenges that await have never been tougher, the stakes never higher.”

The Rams only have eight picks; none in the top 100 come this weekend’s draft.

“Make no mistake, these masterminds have a plan. On one of football’s biggest nights – the NFL Draft – Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke assembles his team to infiltrate the high-profile affair in Sin City and do what they – and no one else – does best: steal the draft,” the description continues. “Millions will be watching. The other teams will be imitating. The only question is: can this crew pull off a hail Mary and get the job done… again?

Well, if the Avs or Nuggets take home hardware this summer, maybe we’ll see a KSE movie about it. Better yet, how about Rockies owner Dick Monfort played by Bob Odenkirk in a film about the Blake Street Bombers?
