It’s time for Broncos Country to send a clear, and loud, message on Sunday
If things don't go well against Washington, 76,000 Broncos fans should let the organization know that the current state of affairs is unacceptable

Does the organization hear the grumblings? Does the team care how Broncos Country is feeling?
It sure doesn’t seem like it. Last Friday, the day after a fourth-straight loss, fans in the Mile High City were calling for change. They were looking for something to happen after another embarrassing defeat.
They’d have been fine with Vic Fangio getting the ax. They’ve seen enough of the uninspiring, throw-everyone-else-under-the-bus head coach. His 15-24 career record speaks for itself.
Fans would’ve accepted Pat Shurmur getting the boot. The offensive coordinator continues to produce lousy results, as Denver sputters on a weekly basis. His 23 games at the helm have been enough.
And Broncos Country would’ve embraced a quarterback change. They were sold on Teddy Bridgewater giving the team the “best chance to win,” but have seen the folly of that argument since the calendar turned to October.
Any change would’ve sufficed. It would’ve shown the fan base that the current situation is unacceptable.
But nothing happened. Friday came and went without any news out of Dove Valley.
Instead, the Broncos have become the embodiment of the definition of insanity. They keep doing the same things over and over, hoping for a different result.
It’s infuriating. It’s maddening. It’s ridiculous.
It’s enough to make Broncos fans throw up their hands in disgust. It’s enough to make them give up hope.
The team isn’t hearing the outrage. They don’t seem to care about the frustration.
What’s the solution? Give them no option but to take notice.
When the Broncos take the field at home on Sunday, the fans should pack Empower Field. And if things don’t go well, they should make sure their voices are heard.
Boo Fangio. Boo Shurmur. Boo Bridgewater.
Boo a defense that has woefully underperformed. Boo a special teams unit that remains awful. Boo an offense that can’t get out of its own way.
Broncos Country needs to be loud. They need to be vocal. They need to send a message.
If Joe Ellis, John Elway and George Paton haven’t heard them yet, it’s time to make sure they do. It needs to be impossible to ignore.
Halloween at Empower Field could be a house of horrors for the Broncos. And that wouldn’t be a bad thing.
The franchise is heading in the wrong direction. The wrong people are running the show.
Change had to come. It’s time to send that message.
