Broncos advise fans to arrive early for home opener Sunday

Sep 24, 2021, 5:20 AM

Football is back at full strength this weekend in the Mile High City.

For the first time since late-December 2019 — nearly 750 days — the Denver Broncos will host a full-capacity crowd at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday for their home opener against the New York Jets.

And with that in mind, the club is asking fans to plan according.

For those looking to enjoy the pregame festivities, including player warmups, the Broncos encourage fans to enter the stadium gates before 1:00 p.m. (Gates open at noon.)

Parking lots will open at 9:30 a.m. as well, and those who arrive early should avoid potential gameday traffic while experiencing shorter wait time for entry into the stadium.

Fans can also join Mike Evans and DMac, who’ll be broadcasting live from noon to 2:00 p.m. from Ironworks (25 Larimer Street) in the shadow of Empower Field.

The venue is open for all ages, and doors open at 10:00 a.m.
