Broncos, Surtain agree to terms on 4-year rookie deal

The Denver Broncos have officially locked in their top draft pick, as the team and first-round cornerback Pat Surtain II have agreed to terms on his four-year rookie deal, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The news comes just a few days after Broncos held rookie minicamp, of which Surtain was in attendance, along with the entire 2021 draft class.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to be on this stage in the NFL. Now the opportunity is here, and I am forever grateful to be in the moment,” Surtain said on Friday. “There’s still work to be done. Just going back over what I’ve done and how long it took me to get here — it’s just an exciting feeling.”

Fellow 2021 draft classmates Caden Sterns (S), Jamar Johnson (S), Seth Williams (WR), Kary Vincent Jr. (CB) and Marquiss Spencer (DE) all signed their rookies deals last week ahead of rookie minicamp.
