The Green Bay Packers are reportedly crying foul over potential tampering involving superstar quarterback and reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers.

ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported early Wednesday that Green Bay is upset that teams may have contacted Rodgers to gauge his interest in playing for them should they trade for him.

Among the teams linked to the report include the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos.

“A league source said the Packers have not filed charges with the NFL because they know it’s nearly impossible to prove,” Demovsky writes.

Last week, after Round 1 of the NFL Draft on Thursday night, Denver general manager was asked if the team had reached out to Green Bay about a trade for Rodgers.

“We are just going to focus on the draft right now,” Paton said at the time.

Should Denver and Green Bay hook up on a trade for Rodgers, ESPN’s Bill Barnwell laid out the specifics on how it could get done on Tuesday.

According to Barnwell, the Broncos can offer the most intriguing pieces to the Packers in exchange for Rodgers, including two first-round picks in 2022 and 2023, wide receiver Tim Patrick, cornerback Pat Surtain II and quarterback Drew Lock.

“The Packers get what amounts to three first-round picks as part of this deal, with the added benefits of Patrick and Lock to put the deal over the top,” Barnwell writes.

In Barnwell’s scenario, Denver would get back Rodgers and cornerback Eric Stokes.
