Multiple quarterback options are gone for the Denver Broncos

Mar 16, 2021, 4:13 PM | Updated: 4:16 pm

The quarterback carousel is getting smaller as three more possible options for the Denver Broncos have found deals elsewhere.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Chicago Bears on Tuesday.

Dalton was a veteran quarterback some hosts at The Fan believed would make a great fit in Denver, with the idea being to take over for Drew Lock while Paton began to plug away at the holes on the roster.

According to reports, Dalton is expected to be the Bears’ starting quarterback in 2021.

Dalton made nine starts for the Cowboys last season after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury and had a 4-5 record, throwing for 2,170 yards and 14 touchdowns, with 8 interceptions.

Former Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor reached an agreement with the Houston Texans, signing a one-year deal worth up to $12.5 million.

Could this be the Texans getting ready for an inevitable departure with quarterback Deshaun Watson?

Taylor was set to take over under center for the Chargers when Philip Rivers moved on to the Indianapolis Colts, but he suffered a punctured lung before Week 2, which opened the door for rookie Justin Herbert.

We all know how that story went.

The Texans has been adamant that Watson will be their quarterback in 2021, but Taylor seems to be their insurance plan for when the team come to their senses.

The Miami Dolphins added depth to their quarterback room and signed Jacoby Brissett to a one-year deal worth $10 million.

This move comes after quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the Washington Football Team late Monday night.

Brissett has thrown for 6,459 yards with 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his career.
