Denver Nuggets guard RJ Hampton is expected to be placed in the NBA’s COVID-19 protocol, sources tell ESPN Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Hampton is expected to be sidelined through the NBA All-Star Break next weekend, Wojnarowski reports.
Denver has three games remaining before the break — at Chicago on Monday, at Milwaukee on Tuesday and at Indiana on Thursday.
Additional contact tracing is ongoing within the Nuggets as well, Wojnarowski reports.
So far though his rookie season, Hampton has played in 24 games, averaging 9.2 minutes of playing time and 2.5 points.
