Nuggets, Pistons postponed due to COVID-19 precautions

The Denver Nuggets and Detroit Pistons matchup set to take place tonight at Ball Arena has been postponed in accordance with the NBA’s COVID-19 protection protocols, the league announced.

According to a release, the league says ongoing contract tracing within the Pistons indicates the team does not have the required eight available players to proceed with the game.

The postponement, which came just minutes prior to tip-off in Denver, is the league’s 23rd this seasons.

It also delays the return of former Nuggets forward Jerami Grant, who was dealt to Detroit in November. In one season with Denver, Grant played in 71 games, averaging 26.6 minutes, 12.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
