Are the Broncos trying to move up in the draft to select Jerry Jeudy?

The buzz around the NFL world is that the Broncos are not going to just stay put with the 15th overall pick. Denver has the ammunition to move around the first few rounds of the draft with their second and three third-round picks. The chances of Denver using all five of those picks is slim to none.

Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported a week ago that the Broncos are one of three teams that “appear to be looking at their options in terms of trading up in round one.”

Woody Paige of the Colorado Springs Gazette is reporting that sources told him the Broncos don’t plan to stay at No. 15, but instead will try to trade up for Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. Paige also mentioned that Denver could move up with the Cardinals or Browns at picks eight and 10.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Browns are considering to trade down from 10 for Boise State offensive tackle Ezra Cleveland.

Peter Schrager of NFL Network mentioned on Daniel Jeremiah’s “Move the Sticks” podcast that a team told him that Jerry Jeudy is the top wide receiver on the Broncos draft board.

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report is saying that there’s “a ton of smoke” that the Broncos want to move into the top 10 and suggests the Broncos are targeting Jeudy.

Mike Klis of 9News mentioned that a potential target for the Broncos if they move up is Jeudy.

If you don’t think that’s enough information pouring out, how about James Palmer of the NFL Network reporting that Denver has met with the top wide receiver prospects, including Jeudy.

Former NFL general manager Michael Lombardi is also hearing that Denver is trying to workout a deal with the Browns to leapfrog the Jets and Raiders.

For what it’s also worth, Peter King – who is really connected to John Elway – mocked the Alabama star wide receiver to the Broncos with the 15th pick in his one and only mock draft of the year.

The Alabama star wide receiver is my top wide receiver in this year’s NFL Draft. After watching just a couple of minutes of Jeudy’s film, Antonio Brown comes to mind. Jeudy’s route running ability is the best that I’ve ever seen from a college prospect. In Jeudy’s final two seasons at Alabama, he played in 28 games and scored 24 touchdowns. Jeudy also averaged 72.5 receptions in his final two years and averaged 1,239 yards per season.

The rumors are there, sources have told me the same things. The odds are increasing that Jerry Jeudy will be a Denver Bronco.

Get ready Broncos Country, the Broncos offense has a chance to be explosive for the first time since Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset.
