In the first hour of The Drive, Tyler Polumbus and Nick Ferguson shared the big story today and why the shark should make an appearance and what that means to other Denver Broncos players. On the Countdown, the guys talked about Bryce Callahan and why he may not play this year, other key Broncos injuries that could impact Denver and their matchup against the Indianapolis Colts and a preview of the Denver Nuggets home opener against the Phoenix Suns. 104.3 The Fan’s Cecil Lammey joined the program and gave his game plan for the Broncos v. Colts. Lammey also talked about the players for both Denver and Indianapolis that will be an impact both on and off the field.
In the second hour of The Drive, Nick Ferguson and Tyler Polumbus talked about their experiences in playing in Denver and how the cold weather and the altitude can be a true home field advantage. The guys also discussed the Denver Broncos current record and if their record truly reflects the talent on the team. Ferguson talked about the motivation and how the players can get through a losing streak. Polumbus took a look and the injury report and the players that need to step up. Polumbus explained to Ferguson why he is stuck between a rock and a hard place with the Broncos game and why it could be a good thing if the Broncos lose. Matt Moore, our Fan Nuggets Insider joined the show and talked about the home opener against the Phoenix Suns. Moore also talked about what he saw from the Nuggets first game in Portland against the Trail Blazers. For the prop bets, Ferguson and Polumbus discussed the over or under on the topics including, Ju’waun James snaps, Courtland Sutton yards, Noah Fant catches, sacks for Von Miller, and to total points. The guys also talked about Fant’s unique injury and as former players what it’s like with the shark tool and other unique sports injuries. Wrapping up the second hour of The Drive, 104.3 The Fan’s James Merilatt joined the show to talk about his article about Drew Lock and whether or not he can actually play or if he’s really hurt. Merilatt also talked about what he thought John Elway is thinking and possibly this season for the Broncos is still salvageable or if the teams needs to play for 2020.
In the third hour of The Drive, Tyler Polumbus and Nick Ferguson opened the show talking about how the NFL needs to change the trade deadline rules and how that could change the popularity of the NFL. Polumbus also talked about how his plan benefits the players more and Ferguson thought the proposal of changing the trade deadline rules hurts the teams. The guys also talked about the future of the Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. and where he could be at the end of the season. Polumbus and Ferguson wrapped up today’s show by going into the weekend sharing their thoughts on NFL Sunday and their predictions for a number of matchups and one game that could send shockwaves through the league.
