Should the Broncos consider shutting down players in final 2 games?

Despite Chris Harris Jr.’s efforts to come back quickly from a fractured leg, the Denver Broncos officially shut down the cornerback Wednesday for the season with the playoffs now out of reach.
But the Broncos should take it a step further, “The Drive” co-host DMac suggested on Wednesday, and sit anyone of importance heading into next season.
“Anybody’s who’s got a boo-boo who you think (will play) next year should be put on IR immediately,” DMac said.
DMac said the Broncos should shut down quarterback Case Keenum and elevate backup Kevin Hogan and Garrett Grayson, who’s currently on the practice squad.
Even Phillip Lindsay, who’s just nine yards shy of 1,000 for the season, should be a possible healthy scratch, DMac said.
“Can you imagine the horror show if Phillip Lindsay tears his ACL? I know he’s close to 1,000 yards …” DMac said.
However, Chad Brown, who was filling in on “The Drive” on Wednesday, said he’d be “all for it” in regard to NFL stars playing in games that are essentially meaningless.
“I know it makes me weird and it goes against logic. I’m for guys playing in their bowl games. I’m for all of that. I’m old school football. If there’s a football game to be played, I wanted to show up and play some football,” Brown said. “I was sad at the end of every season, even when it was a sucky season, because I didn’t get to play football.
“I love the game of football, and I want to be around people who share that mindset.”
