Did the Broncos stumble upon their future offensive line on Sunday?

Following a laudable performance from a beaten, makeshift Denver Broncos offensive line in a win Sunday, “The Drive” co-host DMac said the club may have discovered more than just players to fill positions.

On Tuesday, DMac said the Broncos maybe have lucked into their future on the offensive line in Billy Turner, Connor McGovern, and Elijah Wilkinson.

“I think the Broncos may have stumbled into, perhaps, the future with Turner, McGovern, and Wilkinson,” DMac said. “Wouldn’t that be great if that was the case, if that’s what happens?”

Turner took the place of injured left guard Max Garcia, who had been himself filling in for starter Ron Leary. Wilkinson filled in for McGovern at right guard, who slid down to center to cover injured starter Matt Paradis.

“Connor McGovern is a different guy at center than he is at guard. Stronger. (There’s) more pop in the middle of that offense with McGovern,” said DMac’s co-host, Alfred “Big Al” Williams, who said he’d been waiting for McGovern to take over at center for “quite some time.”

However, “Pritchard and Cecil” co-host Mike Pritchard said earlier Tuesday that he thinks it would be a “bad idea” for the Broncos to move on so quickly from Paradis, who has been among the league’s top-rated centers.

“I just don’t kick him to the curb. I’ve got to keep that guy on my team if he can come back and play at a high level,” Pritchard said.
