The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about VJ’s response to his question about the Halloween party on Monday, and Case Keenum’s perspective on Chad Kelly after Kelly was released.
Al & DMac decide if Von Miller’s private party turned into a rager, and if the proper security staff was employed. DMac points out Chad Kelly was restrained, and Al says who knows what Kelly was on. DMac asks Al who’s job it is to be responsible for Kelly, and Al says this party has been going on for years. DMac says this will ‘all go away soon’ and the guys decide if there is a new standard in Denver or Chad Kelly’s value was simply low enough that Elway could cut him.
In the Big 3, DMac asks Al if Denver is okay with Hogan as the backup or if the team is jacked up. Big Al finds out if Mahomes is the MVP so far or if Goff is, and DMac finds out if Al even cares about the Red Sox pounding the Dodgers. Also, Al wants to know how many rushing yards Kareem Hunt will go for.
The guys debate whether Mike Shanahan or Pat Bowlen threw better parties, and compare music by Kool & the Gang to the music of today. Also, Al says there’s a 22 year difference & there was no social media back then.
Al says Chad Kelly had a bad day & no longer gets to do what he loves the most, and that’s play football. DMac says Chad Kelly’s teammates didn’t respect him enough to save him, and DT has no trade value.
Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about VJ’s response to his question about the Halloween party on Monday, and Case Keenum’s perspective on Chad Kelly after Kelly was released. Cecil says the team never believed in Chad Kelly the way fans wanted. Also, how Kareem Hunt opens up everything else for the Chiefs. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
The guys take calls on just what kind of party was thrown, and if it matters how some players party compared to others.
Big Al laughs about Cris Carter telling young players they need to have a ‘fall guy’ and DMac decides if there is a different company policy with the Denver Broncos. Al wishes the ultra-talented players had the same drive that Peyton had.
The guys talk about Chad Kelly being the fall guy & how he got into the house in the first place. Big Al compares the QB situation in Denver right now to the one in Miami, and still thinks we should have given Paxton or Sloter a shot as a backup QB.
The guys take calls on if there should be a different standard for Chad Kelly, and Al agrees with a caller when he says Kelly is lucky nothing worse happened on that fateful night.
DMac thinks Jokic will be an All-Star this year, and Big Sexy updates the guys on the Avs & Predators. DMac runs through the final phone calls of the day about Broncos & their allegations.
