‘Just a matter of time’ before big shakeup to Broncos staff, players

Per a report from NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport early Sunday, Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph and his staff would be “closely monitored” by the team’s “upper management” heading into a tough stretch of games, including one against the Los Angeles Rams.
Now, following a 23-20 loss at home to the Rams, could the hot seat have turned up a notch on Joseph?
“Now, the Thursday night game is ahead with Arizona, and it is just a matter of time now before major changes are made, starting, perhaps, at the top of the coaching staff,” 104.3 The Fan host Sandy Clough said Sunday after the game.
The loss to the Rams is the Broncos fourth in a row following a 2-0 start to the season.
Said Joseph after the game: “We all can play better. It’s been four in a row. We can all play better.”
Up next for the Broncos is a short week followed by a Thursday Night Football appearance against the Arizona Cardinals on the road.
Joseph said it’s a tough turnaround, but it’s a “perfect cure” for getting the losing taste quickly out of their mouths.
“We’ve lost four in a row, have a chance to play in four days and to get a win. That’s important for our team. We have to go back to work, we have to get over this and move on to Arizona.”
However, if the Broncos end up on the wrong side of the score again against the Cardinals, “Stokley and Zach” co-host Zach Bye said to expect fireworks in terms of personnel.
“This simply isn’t going to fly in Denver. Changes must be made. Head coach, quarterback … everything is on the table,” Bye said.
“If the Broncos fail to beat the Arizona Cardinals this Thursday, I think you’ll see one if not both of those changes made.”
