The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Voice of the CSU Rams Brian Roth joins the show to talk about the Rams’ rushing attack against the Buffs, and what to expect from the Rams’ home-grown products out of Mullen, among other schools. Voice of the Colorado Buffaloes Mark Johnson joins the show to talk about the Rocky Mountain Showdown tonight against the CSU Rams, and Big Al asks Johnson about Colorado QB Steven Montez, and Johnson explains how Montez has matured & no longer gets by on simply his athleticism. Denver 7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the Rocky Mountain Showdown, and who are his ‘bubble guys’ on the Broncos roster, including AJ Johnson out of Tennessee.

Big Al says he’s excited for the Buffs game at Broncos Stadium @ Mile High tonight, he just wants to see the CSU Rams fans pay for their own ticket sales. DMac says good for Phillip Lindsay to make the Broncos 53-man roster, and goes over some names the Broncos have released despite their great preseason play. Also, Big Al thinks it might have been too little, too late for Paxton Lynch after his performance against the Cardinals.

In the Big 3, the boys roll through the list of cuts the Broncos have made, and Al likes what he’s seen so far. DMac says the tougher cuts are going to happen tomorrow & most of the cuts are done today. Big Al notes the cut of Braxton Miller, and DMac points out Christian Hackenberg has been released. Also, the latest on Ohio State Coach Urban Meyer’s statement clarifying media reports & the management of Zach Smith. Big Al says Meyer needs to learn when to ‘shut up.’

The guys bounce around the local high school football scene, and DMac goes over the list of cuts for the Broncos. Also, the guys discuss Chad Kelly’s role with the team moving forward.

Big Al talks about Chad Kelly’s confidence after he threw an interception, and feels sorry for Paxton Lynch after his great performance, saying that it’s just too little too late. Al says Chad Kelly didn’t make the correct reads once he got rattled.

Denver 7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the Rocky Mountain Showdown, and who are his ‘bubble guys’ on the Broncos roster, including AJ Johnson out of Tennessee. Troy says there is no doubt Adam ‘PacMan’ Jones is making the team, and there’s no room on the roster for DeAngelo Henderson. Al notes that DeAngelo Henderson knows how to turn a little bit into a little bit more. Also, how the Broncos have mismanaged their QB room. DMac takes some calls agreeing with Big Al about the Broncos moving on from Paxton Lynch & taking a look at RGIII. Big Al goes down a rabbit hole about road-rage, and DMac uses it as a reminder to drink responsibly. Big Al talks about the ‘Broncos police station’ and DMac brings up the incredible photo taken of Demaryius Thomas & Brandon Marshall before the game against the Cardinals.
