The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO! Cecil Lammey joins the show to preview his fantasy football show & the dynasty value of Teddy Bridgewater. Cecil admits RGIII could be an option for the Broncos, and notes that Chad Kelly has improved.
Al & DMac talk about what kind of dog Adam ‘PacMan’ Jones is, and what DMac loves about Von Miller. Al is fine with Tyrod going back in the game, and Aaron Rodgers is now the highest paid QB in the NFL & Al can’t believe Brady is not. Also, Al guarantees Brock Osweiler would sign with the Texans all over again. Big Al is all on board with the Colorado Rockies winning their division, and breaks down Aaron Rodgers’ deal with the Packers at $ 33.5 million per year and 100 million guaranteed. There is controversy in Cleveland, as Al & DMac discuss the rape case at the apartment of David Njoku & Rashard Higgins. DMac tells Big Al he wouldn’t trust Higgins or Njoku.
The boys talk about Teddy Bridgewater going to the New Orleans Saints, and DMac wonders what other QBs are out there & available for the Broncos in case Chad Kelly doesn’t work out as the backup. Big Al says Bridgewater & Keenum in the same QB room would be weird, and Denver should go get RGIII. Cecil Lammey joins the show to preview his fantasy football show & the dynasty value of Teddy Bridgewater. Cecil admits RGIII could be an option for the Broncos, and notes that Chad Kelly has improved. Cecil tells Al & DMac Chad Kelly is focused, and prepares like he’s the franchise quarterback & that will save his job over Paxton Lynch. Listen to the interview HERE!! DMac asks Al what to watch for in the Broncos final preseason game, and Elijah Wilkinson’s brother, Ed, calls in to defend Eli & say goodbye to Menelik Watson. The boys go over RGIII’s preseason stats, and Al points out that RGIII is trying to make things happen for his team. DMac points out that RGIII gets sacked too much, and that his stats don’t blow away Chad Kelly’s. Also, Al wonders what teams on the Broncos’ schedule Chad Kelly would beat.
The guys break down the Broncos schedule, and what will be a good barometer for where Denver is at in certain points of the season. Big Al just doesn’t like Jon Gruden, and says it’s right of Khalil Mack to hold out. DMac says Isaiah McKenzie is terrible at football & shouldn’t be on the Broncos, and Al thinks Denver can have some success blocking with Andy Janovich. DMac finds out from Al how the Broncos are going to keep DeAngelo Henderson, and Al says they can start by cutting Isaiah McKenzie. Big Al says Henderson is in danger of being cut because of his inability to contribute on Special Teams, and because Phillip Lindsay is just like Christian McCaffrey. Big Al tells DMac he would not be a fan of the Broncos signing Mike Glennon, even as a backup.
