The Drive with DMac & Cecil LIVE from The Library in Laramie, WY for Josh Allen’s pro-day. Former Broncos DL Mitch Unrein joins the show to talk about ‘studying’ at ‘The Library’ and why those that go to Wyoming hang their hat on outworking you. Cecil tells Mitch the city is buzzing about Josh Allen, and Unrein says the impact Allen has had is putting Wyoming on the map for years to come.

DMac & Cecil talk about what the atmosphere is like at ‘The Library’ & Josh Allen’s hospitality. DMac mentions the long period Allen has to study & prepare for both the combine & his pro-day, and Cecil makes an argument for why Allen’s pro-day may have been the best one yet. Cecil says it’s more than just the arm strength with Allen, and DMac notices Gary Kubiak wore his Super Bowl ring today. DMac says Baker Mayfield is a more realistic selection for Denver, because Allen may not last, and Cecil compares Josh Allen to Paxton Lynch. In the Big 3, DMac says it’s going to be hard for the Browns to pass on Josh Allen, and explains how Allen helps out the community. The guys talk planned workouts & visits for Allen & Mayfield, and the warrant for Michael Bennett’s arrest. The guys talk about how big this Josh Allen pro-day is for Wyoming, and when pass placement for Allen comes into play. Also, all of Allen’s dimes, home-runs & deep balls, including timing passes & skinny posts. The guys talk about the benefits of working with Jordan Palmer, and what the script will be for working out quarterbacks moving forward. DMac wonders if the testing for Lamar Jackson will be any different, as Jackson has shown flashes that remind scouts of Kordell & Vick. Cecil says Baker Mayfield is a Gary Kubiak type of QB, and a great fill-in for Case Keenum, as they both have similar qualities. DMac notices Gary Kubiak did not spend the time today with Josh Allen that Hue Jackson did, and the guys agree ‘The Library’ is the place to go to ‘study.’ The guys talk about next year’s draft, and if it will be just as full of QBs as the ’18 NFL Draft. DMac asks Cecil if there are comparable QBs between this year’s draft and John Elway’s draft class of ’83. Also, why Adam Gase inked Brock Osweiler to a one-year deal.

DMac notices there was no bandana for Josh Allen, and says Allen is a good teammate. Cecil talks about the 60 throws he saw from Allen, and the guys decide who connects best with Paxton Lynch. Also, the guys go through their top-5 QBs in the draft & DMac says Baker is his No. 2 guy. DMac gives Cecil credit for saying the best college QB a year ago was Josh Allen, and the guys debate how Allen would have fared if it was snowing in Wyoming for his pro-day. Also, DMac asks Cecil if Josh Allen can be as good as John Elway, and Cecil breaks down the addition of Jared Veldheer from the Arizona Cardinals. Jared Veldheer is now a Denver Bronco and the guys decide if Denver’s O-Line is now solidified & if Veldheer is an upgrade over Menelik Watson. The Broncos give up a 6th-rd pick for Veldheer, and Cecil & DMac discuss the Broncos draft options now that the line has been beefed up.
