Broncos add veteran depth in secondary, to sign CB Tramaine Brock

Mar 14, 2018, 11:57 AM | Updated: 2:47 pm

Just hours before free agency officially opens, the Denver Broncos address one of its offseason needs: depth at the cornerback position.

First reported by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Broncos will sign veteran cornerback Tramaine Brock to a one-year deal worth a reported $4 million.

Brock, who played with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017 and the San Francisco 49ers the previous seven years before that, adds a veteran piece to the Denver secondary following the departure of All-Pro cornerback Aqib Talib.

Last week, the Broncos traded Talib to the Los Angeles Rams for a fifth-round pick, relieving the club of his $11 million salary in 2018 and creating more playing time for former first-round pick Bradley Roby.

In his eight seasons in the NFL, Brock has played in 91 games, making 40 starts. He has 11 career interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, 46 passes defensed, and one forced fumble.
