Pritchard & Cecil – 03/09/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Friday’s show the guys talk about Aqib Talib being traded to the Rams for a fifth round pick this season, Bradley Roby taking over a bigger role in the Broncos defense now and some other news from around the NFL. Plus, Mark Schlereth raises money for the American Heart Association and attempts to bench press 225 lbs. 26 times!
Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about the Broncos trading Aqib Talib to the Rams in exchange for a fifth round pick yesterday. The guys talk about if this was a good move or a bad move for the Denver Broncos. The guys also get into if the fifth round pick was enough compensation for the Broncos or if they should have gotten more in return. Pritchard & Cecil look back on that Super Bowl 50 Broncos great historic defense and discuss how big of a part Aqib Talib played in all of that. Also, Pritchard & Cecil weigh in on Bradley Roby taking over as one of the two top corner backs on the defense now and if he’s ready for the challenge that’s ahead of him. The guys break down the Broncos defense without Talib now.
Plus, the guys talk about Drew Brees not having a new deal yet with the New Orleans Saints and what that might mean for the current quarterback free agent class. Mike Pritchard explains why he fully expects for Brees to get a new deal very soon. The guys kick around the idea of what might happen if Brees was available.

After that the guys read and react to a statement made by now former Broncos corner back Aqib Talib on Instagram. The guys talk about why the Broncos were able to pull off a trade yesterday sending Talib to Los Angeles in exchange for a fifth round pick. Mike Pritchard talks about why this was a good move for both sides in the situation. Cecil Lammey also shares his thoughts on why this trade isn’t all about Kirk Cousins for the Broncos but it’s about a lot of other factors.
For the rest of the second hour the guys talk about the safety position in the NFL and if Minkah Fitzpatrick can be a defensive back in the NFL that can play many positions and be what an NFL team needs each week. The guys weigh in on how if Brees is available he would be the new headliner in free agency. The guys also get into some other free agents to keep your eye on next week when things really get kicked off in the NFL. The guys talk about which position free agents would make the most sense for the Denver Broncos.
